Chirundu Zambia is located situated on the banks of the Zambezi river in the Chirundu District of the Southern Province of Zambia. It handles all traffic heading north towards.

On 23rd July 2024 the Chirundu Border Consortium was awarded the concession to re-develop, upgrade and expand the existing OSBP on the Zambia side (“the Project”). The Project will include the construction, operation and maintenance of the upgraded border post over a 20-year period. The Project is Public Private Partnership (PPP) for a 20 year ‘Build-Operate-Transfer’ (BoT) Concession.
